I've been overweight my entire life and I am finally at my biggest and also at my most miserable.
After several successful attempts at weight loss, followed by several regains, I'm at the end of my tether! Sadly working as a Healthcare Assistant doesn't pay much so I can't afford a personal trainer, nor can I afford bariatric surgery (gastric band etc.)
However I do live in a block where we have a free gym at the bottom (The One SE8 complex in Deptford Bridge), and although I should really make the most of it, admittedly most times my partner and I just put our feet up and watch TV with a pizza, insisting we will 'do it later'. Well now it's definitely later!
I am approximately 18 stone, a staggering 250lbs or so. I will work hard at the gym, but my problem has always been that I need someone there next to me telling me "come on, just ten minutes more... PUSH IT!".
Even if you aren't a trainer and are just someone else wanting to get fit without paying extortionate gym prices, do get in touch.
I work nights, so I can only work out during the daytimes I'm afraid. Lunch times I find are best.
