Janie’s Mobile School is a mobile private tuition service, that was established 1997. Over these past 16 years JMS has taught many children of all ages in Chesterfield, in their own homes. Helping particularly with slow learners, such as dyslexia.
JMS teaches maths and English to all children (only) between the ages of 5 and 16. The courses available are all based around the school curriculum. The only difference being is that we do not move on to a new topic, until your child has grasped the last.
A brief summary of what is taught:
English: reading, phonetic sounds, spellings, grammar, sentence building, essay/story writing.
Maths: times tables, basic arithmetic, mental maths, algebra, area, volume, geometry, trigonometry.
Key Stages 1 and 2: £20 per hour.
Key Stages 3 and 4: £25 per hour.
All our prices are fully inclusive, meaning the only thing your child needs to bring to each lesson, is themselves.
Each new student receives a complimentary pencil case, filled with the essentials for each lesson.
Enrolments are being taken for the start of September 2013 or before.
If your child is struggling in their GCSE Maths Foundation Level, take advantage of our 10 week booster course – 1 hour per week. New courses will be starting in September 2013, but enrol early as there are only a few spaces available for these.
Prices: £200 per 10 weeks (Cash only)
We also offer a booster spellings and reading course for Key Stages 1 and 2. This will also help your child with phonic sounds and vocabulary building skills. This is also a 10 week course – 1 hour per week. Again starting in September 2013, so enrol early to get a place.
Prices: £100 per 10 weeks (Cash only)
NOTE: There is no complimentary pencil case with these offers, but everything is still inclusive. All materials must be handed back to JMS after the 10 week course is up.
