Her Curiosity

Last year I attended a wedding where my 18 year old niece was marrying her childhood boyfriend who was now 20. Whilst at the bar I got chatting to a lady who was the aunty of the groom. I later found out she was 68 yrs old and just a little younger than myself. I offered to pay for her drink which she accepted. We then sat down and Began to chat. During that conversation she told me that she had got married at a similar age. She’d had a lovely marriage, but sadly her husband had now passed away. She then told me that her only regret was that she had only ever had one boyfriend and was curious to know what it would have been like to have experienced another man. Wedding over we discovered we were staying at the same hotel and our rooms were just along the same corridor from each other. As we approached her room she moved in to give me a peck on the cheek and say goodnight. Inspired by drink I turned and asked her if she was serious about what she had said earlier and asked her if she would like to resolve her curiosity? Without answering she opened her room door, took my hand and led me inside. We had a wonderful, intimate and loving night, followed by a lovely breakfast together. Before leaving we exchanged telephone No.’s and agreed to meet up annually, as near to the wedding anniversary as possible. The next time is already agreed and in the diary.
